Google has been the most dominant search engine and it still is. Many others have tried competing with Google with no chance whatsoever. Bing and Yahoo do contribute to a smaller chunks of search results but not anywhere close to Google.
There are other smaller search engines which hardly get noticed due to them and that's why they pay people to use their search engines. Some often pull results from Google, Bing and Yahoo and display as their own results.
Here is a chance for you guys to get paid while searching for your favorite content. Of course you won't get rich with them but why not give it a shot, after all every dollar matters today, considering the recession.
1. SwagBucks
It lets you earn money by searching the web, taking surveys, watching videos, playing games and shopping online etc. For every action, you earn 'Swag Bucks' which can be redeemed for cash or rewards. Apart from this, they have daily, weekly and monthly sweepstakes where you can make as much as $500 and more.
You don't get paid to search on PCH, but get a chance to win prizes like a movie ticket, a holiday package worth $10,000 or even a car. PCH chooses a bunch of winning times per day. The first person to search after the winning time goes away with the prize.
3. Scour.com
Scour pulls results from Google, Bing and Yahoo.
Users can earn up to 4 points per search. Repeat searches on the same day don't count.
25,000 points = $100
12,500 points = $50
6,500 points = $25
You can add more points by referring others to Scour - 25% of the points they make.
4. Irazoo.com
Irazoo is quite similar to SwagBucks which lets you make money by searching the web, watching videos, playing games etc. However, your cannot signup without an invitation from an existing member. The site has a pretty cool interface and some very interesting features too.
