Why is Facebook So Blue?

Ever wondered why Facebook has one distinct color? Everything including the logo, sign-up page, the icons, the timeline and the chat window have the same color.

Why not red, green, yellow, black or white?

Right from the inception of Facebook, blue color has been literally bonded with this popular social network.
Facebook has been constantly updated with new and unique design concepts. It has gone through major redesigns, but the blue color never changed. There is not even a small hint of other colors.

So why is Facebook blue?

You may not believe it, but reports say that Mark Zuckerberg is red-green color blind. Blue is Facebook's dominant color and it is unlikely to have any other, as long as Mark Zuckerberg suffers from color blindness. This is what he had to say - “blue is the richest color for me – I can see all of blue.” He realized that he is color blind while taking an online test (sadly or luckily?).

I don’t think they would have chosen any other color even if Mark had a normal vision, since blue is more visually soothing and it also provides a feel good factor to your brains.
